What’s on the menu?

Today, we are calling upon a spirit from the Tarantula Distilling Company in Weston, Missouri. We’re using their Azul Tequila to conjure a Spider Venom cocktail.

Cocktail Mixology

Chelsea’s Tasting Notes

Spider Bite Shot
  • If you’re not a tequila drinker, this is a good one.
  • It’s not really heavy.
  • It tastes like it not’s just tequila.

Spider Venom Cocktail

  • Oh! I like that.
  • I like that the raspberries are coming through.
  • Note to self, don’t do the shot and then the drink. Just do the shot OR the drink.
  • It’s refreshing, but I feel that it’s going to be dangerous.

Erick’s Tasting Notes

Spider Bite Shot
  • There’s candy in there. Like a sweetness.
  • I’m not mad at it. I like it. I like it a lot.
  • I’m glad I chilled it. If not, it might have been sticky in texture.

Spider Venom Cocktail

  • I don’t taste it…
  • That is also very good.
  • Warning, when you follow the recipe, it’s only 3 oz. of liquor so serve in a smaller glass or make it a double.
  • It’s very refreshing!

Liquor Facts

Chelsea went into detail on the flavor notes Tarantula Distilling Company shared on their website, a little more background on what else the company produces and the products they have released.

Would You Rather

Would you rather experience the movie “Arachnophopia” as it is or with scorpions?

Erick dropped a bonus of two questions this episode, playing with the idea of theming the question with the episode or just keeping it a mystery. Tell us what your preference would be.

Would you rather encounter a black-eyed child in the daytime or at night?

Story Notes

Erick shared a tingling tale about a tired traveling salesman with a severe case of arachnophobia. Perhaps he should have kept driving instead of stopping at a rather suspicious motel.

Last Call

Did we leave you with some phantom crawling sensations?
