Spooky’s Brew Cocktail

You are in for an Instagram Live double feature this Sunday, October 17th. We will be haunting Sooky Little Halloween’s IG Live with a very special cocktail called “Spooky’s Brew”. Trust us when we say it’s going to be faboolous!

This original cocktail was crafted with the IG Live hostess in mind. Each pour is infused with love and every ingredient has a special meaning behind it. We cannot wait to walk you through this magical concoction on Sunday night and reveal it to Spooky Little Halloween. Be sure to join us on Miranda’s IG Live at 5:00 PM PST.

We wanted to be sure we gave you enough time to gather those ingredients. And so, we’re presenting the recipe a little early to help you out!

The Sips & Spirits Cocktail Promise

As you familiarize yourself with what Sips & Spirits does on the podcast, we also have certain goals in mind. It is extremely important when we design cocktails that they are not just friendly to the beginner mixologist, but also affordable. The majority of the ingredients listed can be substituted and suggestions are noted whenever possible.

But that’s not all! Whenever we design an original cocktail, we try to provide a mocktail to match. Whatever the reason, we understand that not everyone wishes to or is able to indulge in alcohol and we find it valuable to offer an alternative so you can still be a part of the fun. See the non-alcoholic version of the Spooky’s Brew cocktail below.

Spooky’s Brew (Non-Alcoholic)

Servings: 1 cocktail

Equipment

  • Lowball / Mai Tai / Martini style glass (chilled)
  • Jigger
  • Bar spoon (a regular spoon works too)
  • Knife
  • Lemon juicer

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Pomegranate juice
  • 1 half Lemon to be juiced
  • 1/2 oz Rosemary Simple Syrup Make this at home! Bring equal parts of sugar and water to a boil then add sprig of fresh rosemary and let boil for 5 minutes.
  • Pink Lemonade
  • 1 bag Haribro sour vampire bats Optional garnish – can be found at Target

Instructions

  • Prechill glass or add ice ball.
  • Add simple syrup, pomegranate juice and juice from half lemon into glass. Stir.
  • Slowly float pink lemonade to desired fill.
  • Slice into body of bat gummy on tail end to place on glass rim.
  • Enjoy!
